Here's it is - another brand spankin' new Frownland , drawn just for the 2023 Calendar! Longtime residents of Berkeley may recognize at least one of the characters in this one, especially if you spent a lot of time on Telegraph Avenue in the 90s. 😉
In the meantime, there's about 12 calendars left in stock over on eBay, so make sure to grab yours soon before they're all gone! Link HERE

Just in time for Thanksgiving - my old pals Patrick Farmer and Shelby Patrick Jones guest host a horrifying holiday double feature TONIGHT at 9:00pm EST/6:00pm PST over at Kings of Horror ! You can check out the promo art I did for them HERE
They'll be viewing Dario Argento's Tenebre, along with An Amityville Thanksgiving. If that doesn' t sound cozy, I don't know what does!

They're here!
At long last, the wait is over: you may now go forth and order your 2023 Frownland Calendars!
Featuring 12 full color and cranky cartoons about public transportation, food service, failed ambition and jogging, this is the perfect calendar to help get you through the new year! In addition, this year's edition feature four new Frownlands drawn just for the occasion.
As you may recall from last weeks email, I'll be selling the calendar on eBay rather than Etsy this year, due to Etsy's partnership with the third party financial institution Plaid (who recently settled a lawsuit over breaches of privacy). It's a little quirky, but it'll get the job done!
As with everything right now, costs have gone up a bit on my printing. The calendar is selling for $20 this year. Hopefully next time around it'll be back to it's normal price range!

Hey gang! I wanted to pass along this picture of the new Frownland Calendars, which are back from the printer's and looking great!
I also wanted to let you know that this year I'll be temporarily selling the calendars on eBay rather than Etsy. This is due to Etsys partnership with Plaid, a third party financial company who recently settled a class action lawsuit for selling consumer data.
Link to follow as soon as the calendars are listed - thanks folks!

Here it is - one of four new Frownland's drawn for the upcoming, 2023 Frownland Calendar! It's been a year since I drew my last comic, and I have to admit it was a lot of fun to revisit this world, even if sometimes people drink Windex in it.
In the meantime, the layouts are off to the printers this week, so keep your eyes peeled for a release date!

Some advance reviews of Westley Heine’s Busking Blues have started rolling in. The inimitable Anthony Servante has written a wonderful piece about it HERE, and Beat Poet Laureate Ron Whitehead offered this quote to the good folks at Roadside Press:
“A broke down history of the blues. Ain’t no other map of Chicago like this one. A quest for self. Though I walk through the valley of urban apocalyptic death I shall fear no evil. What does it take to live and be your dream? There is no tribal ceremonial ritual way to escape from being forced to live a status quo do what your conditioned and told to do life to living and being your dream. But a few rare individuals, against all odds, choose to be guided by their deep rooted passion and, regardless of the consequences, go their own damn way. Westley Heine throws the system’s rule book out the fucking window. Once I entered the story I couldn’t put his book down. Busking Blues: Recollections of a Chicago Street Musician & Squatter is a masterpiece.”

Hey gang! I'm very excited to share some new work of mine, compliments of author Westley Heine and the good folks over at Roadside Press. Westley's new book, Busking Blues, is a down and out, funny and streetwise recollection of his spent as a street musician on the cold streets of Chicago. Filled with amazing characters, vivid settings, and ludicrous situations, I was delighted when Westley asked me to provide the cover for him, which you can see HERE in all of its noir glory!
Busking Blues is currently available for pre-order, with a release date of October 2022. Reserve your copy today!
